Red Continent is a blog maintained to promote news for progressive activists and education in socialist theory.

Red Continent focuses on issues surrounding social justice, anti-oppression, national liberation and self-determination, anti-imperialism, organized labour, anti-capitalism, feminism, LGBTQ liberation, anti-Zionism, anti-fascism, and political economy. Red Continent strives to be a leading force in progressive, revolutionary journalism. The editorial policy of Red Continent is firmly grounded in Marxism-Leninism.

Red Continent is edited and maintained by Rick Gunderman, a trained journalist and a History student at McMaster University in Hamilton, Ontario, Canada. Rick Gunderman is a member of the Communist Party of Canada and the Young Communist League of Canada.
